Testing Centre of Indian Army, Navy & Air Force

In Indian Army, Navy & Air Force, Service Selection Board(s) (SSB) is the testing centre for selection of Officers for respective Indian Armed forces. At SSB Centre, candidates, aspiring to join Indian Army, Navy & Air Force, are made to go through series of tests, i.e. SSB Interview, conducted over a period of 4 to 5 days. Also, those who are recommended in SSB tests are medically tested, as per standards laid down by Indian Army, Navy & Air Force respectively. Thereafter, those found medically fit are considered for short listing in the final merit list of respective Indian Armed forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force). Finally, Candidates who come in the merit list are trained as Officers at the respective training institutions of Indian Army, Navy & Air Force.

Army Service Selection Board(s) (SSB)

Indian Army Service Selection Boards are located at Allahabad, Bhopal and Bangalore. Allahabad (Selection Centre East) has five Service Selection Board(s) (SSB), which are 11 SSB, 14 SSB, 18 SSB, 19 SSB and 34 SSB. Also, Bhopal (Selection Centre Central) has three Service Selection Board(s) (SSB), which are 20 SSB, 21 SSB and 22 SSB. Additionally, Bangalore (Selection Centre South) has two Service Selection Board(s) (SSB), which are 17 SSB and 24 SSB.

Navy Service Selection Board(s) (SSB) & (NSB)

Navy Service Selection Boards are located at Bhopal (Selection Centre Central) (SCC), Bangalore (Selection Centre South) (SCS), Coimbatore and Vishakhapatnam.  These locations have 33 SSB, 12 SSB and NSB(s), respectively.

Air Force Selection Board(s) (AFSB)

Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB) are located at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar and Varanasi. Each of these locations has one Service Selection Board(s) (SSB) which are 1 AFSB, 2 AFSB, 3 AFSB and 4 AFSB, respectively.
